Permafrost Enters Steam Early Access

Permafrost entered Steam Early Access on October 9, 2026. The open-world survival sandbox is developed by SpaceRocket Games and published by Toplitz Productions.

The launch premise centers on a near-future Earth thrown into endless winter after a chain of catastrophes culminates in the shattering of the moon. Players take the role of Rook, an engineer navigating frozen cities, wilderness, and faction-controlled territories while scavenging, hunting, crafting, and restoring shelters.
